Teaching
My years of experience as an accompanist in a private arts preparatory school have taught me how to engage and motivate students of all ages and abilities: learning piano is very enjoyable, but it can also be challenging at times. I’ve spent years developing constructive techniques that motivate and engage young students to keep them interested, improving, and growing in their art.
I strive to help my students become musicians by providing a solid foundation in music fundamentals with an emphasis on theory and reading. Learning music, not just how to play the instrument, is vital to a well-rounded education. Students who learn music do better in other academic subjects too!
As a conservatory trained musician and working professional pianist, I know what’s required for an education or career in music, and I make sure that my students receive training that will serve them well should they choose that route.
